The collection documents the activities of Director of the Los Angeles County Museum, Roland J. McKinney from 1939-1946 and incldues correspondence regarding the Otis Art Institute, Museum name changes, Hancock Park, and exhibitions development. The collection also includes United States Navy provisions for use of the Museum in the event of emergency during World War II.
